1.) The buyers are more serious. The “tire kickers” come out in the warmer months. In the fall and winter months, buyers look at real estate when they need to move.
2.) Due to the current low inventory of homes for sale, buyers are forced to shop year round. Buyer these days are ready to take immediate action when a home comes on the market that meets their needs.
3.) There’s less competition. The majority of sellers believe their chances of selling go down in the fall and winter, so they don’t even try. Inventory starts to decline even further in the late fall months. Fewer listings on the market put you in a position to capture your buyer!
The reality is that there are people with reasons for moving all year around (marriage, divorce, downsizing, upsizing, transfer, etc.) If you’re ready to sell your house, you just need to go for it!
